Enter the Swell Taco x The Salt & Sea collab series. Our friends over at Swell approached us recently about doing a collab project featuring the vibe that overlapped our two businesses and also about helping local charities. This is a long sleeve t-shirt featuring the pen and ink styling by Gene Rogovitz. This piece is meant to mimic the ocean and it’s traveling swells. A line has been drawn. Where does your line take you?

A portion of the proceeds from this product will be donated to the John Thiesen Foundation of Wantagh, NY. Their goal is to cheer up sick children in the local hospitals during the holidays. They buy tailored gifts for children and deliver to them in the hospital during the holidays. BACK STORY: John Thiesen had the same brain tumor as I and when we were kids (his surgery was 4 years prior to mine) and he called me up without knowing me at all and wanted to check in on me. Some of the side effects of the surgery were scary and the doctors didn’t really inform the patients properly about what was to come. That’s where John came in and made sure a scared kid didn’t feel so alone. A few years later he went on to start his charity foundation. Hell of a guy and an amazing foundation he runs.
